100 series rear diff housing

just returned from a trip to Gnaraloo and found an oil stain under the rear diff. It appears to have split from the banjo outwards to the left hand side approx 200mm and then gone over the top. is this a common fault and how can it be rectified ?

get it welded up cost me 10 bucks and took 20 minutes on my campervan

Had this happen about three times on a Rangie. Just welded it up. I think if it is on the banjo pan it is non structural and should be OK (don't quote me but I think the banjo is pressed metal).
