I know this has been asked about the 80s series landcruisers but my mate who lives in SA has an 89 lux4x4 d/cab is there a web site that he would be able to get to as he likes to do a lot of the mechanical work himself but finds the hand book he has (gregorys I think) doesn't show him alot. Greasing, pulling hubs apart etc. Any sites that I could mention to him would be appreciated as he only has access to the internet at work (tight ar@e) doesn't want to buy a computer for
home. Take Care Vitara

I think that model Hilux has the rigid front end, so servicing is the same as the bigger LandCruisers with the same.
I find the Gregorys manuals very good.
Cheers

vitara,
Your mate has the same model as
mine, though a couple of years apart. If he has the
Gregory's Manual like I have, then he wont have any probs doing this himself. It is very self explanatory. For the hubs, look under the main section of Front Axle then sub of Swivel Hubs. This is all I have ever used and still find them very good.
