Am looking into the possibility of building a 4.2L TD or thereabouts dual cab. The main reason being the current factory dual cabs are all around the 3L mark and the extra grunt of a larger TD engine better suits my needs. Have looked into the option of having a wagon 'converted' into a dual cab, but, looking at the other side, wondered whether it is possible to fit such an engine into an existing dual cab. Has anyone seen or heard of this being done successfully?
Thanks.
Regards,
Clayton.

Hi the F truck dual cab can be purchased with the 4.2td motor or a larger motor.
I know that they are exy but the conversion of a normal 4.2td wagon would all add up to about the same.

Thanks for the reply. Are ideally wanting something smaller and a bit more nimble like Hilux size for tighter tracks like up in the High Country. I guess the ideal vehicle would be a dual cab Hilux with live front and a 4.2TD! I think the conversion is looking the most feasible option.
