Evening all,

Before I go any further I'll start by saying "Yes I have looked through the archives" 2nights searching and still no find....

Now to get on with the question, ... Several months ago , may have even been 6-8 months back there was a thread discussing home made storage drawers in the back of a GQ (I think). From memory the bloke who built them posted a set of pics showing how he made them from start to finish and laid it all out in his garage step by step with pictures. I recall thinking they were probly the best thought out set I'd seen around, At the time I bookmarked the site for future reference for when I had the money and time to build a set, unfortunotly my trusty computer died a misserable death since and I lost a lot of much cherrished links and info. Does any one recall such thread OR have any ideas and suggestions on building a set.
Thanks for any help and suggestions in advance.

Boo.

I think your search powers are better if you are a member but I may stand corrected if I'm wrong.

My drawer plans are here ... Click here

Dunno if they are the ones you want but they can easily be used for drawers for your truck.

Being small drawers in a wagon - ie. short - you could used commercially available drawer slides rather than the rails I made. Mine are probably still cheaper though, but more work.

If you build them I'd love feedback and pics.

Hi guys

Can I just say that we have just returned home after spending nearly 6 weeks with Melissa and her drawers!!! They are fantastic....my husband now has a big job ahead of him. The back of their Patrol looked sensational all the time, not like our cruiser that had stuff falling out from everywhere!! Melissa did a brilliant job....she needs to patent the design!

Did exactly the same frame work - used allum SHS and pre-cast plastic corners.

I even used the angle same and used teflon strip to run the drawers on.

I made my drawers form 2mm alum sheet with flushlocks to hold them shut. This was a nil cost (I'm a sheety)

All up fully covered with outdoor grey carpet - $168.00 (not including drawers)

SWMBO just loves 'em. It took 4 trucks over 28 years to get her first set.

G'day Boo,

Have a look at my rig pics, is that them? If so, go to post 24169 for a full explanation. You will find them very similar to Melissa's with a few twists.
