Road Closures

Just back from the Gibson Desert,the Gunbarrel was closed at Carnegie both ways.
BUT on it against the advise that it was closed was a ute and accompanying motor bikes through to Wiluna.A landcruiser doing the same towards Giles.Us locals not impressed as section just built at great expence was destroyed.At $1000.00 a tyre going to be expensive as Wiluna Shire CEO advised of the culprits.Come West and enjoy our outback but do yourselves and the 80% of sensible FWD people a favour if you are w@#$%rs,stay home. Agree.

Same has happened in the Simpson Desert this year and on the Birdsville Track. Some travellers do not give a stuff about anybody else and only think of themselves. Hope they find these buggers and fine them to the hilt.

I agree with your sentiments, but have to point out that many of those ruts left after the rains in some areas are NOT the result of 4wd terrorists. Supply trucks and locals often travel where angels fear to tread.
