Just back from the
Gibson Desert, the Gunbarrel was closed at
Carnegie both ways.
BUT on it against the advise that it was closed was a ute and accompanying motor bikes through to
Wiluna.A landcruiser doing the same towards Giles.Us locals not impressed as section just built at great expence was destroyed. At $1000.00 a tyre going to be expensive as
Wiluna Shire CEO advised of the culprits.Come West and enjoy our outback but do yourselves and the 80% of sensible FWD people a favour if you are w@#$%rs,stay
home. Warri

Agree.
Same has happened in the
Simpson Desert this year and on the
Birdsville Track. Some travellers do not give a stuff about anybody else and only think of themselves. Hope they find these buggers and fine them to the hilt.

I agree with your sentiments, but have to point out that many of those ruts left after the rains in some areas are NOT the result of 4wd terrorists. Supply trucks and locals often travel where angels fear to tread.
