Apparently the Canning is a little boggy in some sections at the moment.

Was talking with a mate the other night who’s dad is currently on the canning and commented that currently all 4 vehicles are bogged (2 Patrol’s, 1 Land Cruiser and 1 Maverick). Currently they have been stuck for 2 day’s. Do not know the position but believe it is around the half way mark.

Sorry that is all the track info I have.

Probably stuck in Savory Creek. Take the wrong route there and you are in for a messy time. Poor buggers probably only have hand winches too :o)

As far as I know they do not have winches (Except maybe on one of the patrol’s)

They are all experienced and apparently not to concerned about it.

They are doing a north south crossing, at leased they have a sat phone, plenty of diesel and food, they will probably need it.

Was talking to a party on the Canning from North to South. Slightly boggy around Lake Gregory area but no worries down to Well 19 area today. Different parties, different times, different problems I guess.

Have just completed bottom half of CSR (heading south) on Friday. If you stick to the track you will have no problems - venture off the track and you are history or very bogged!
