I know that you really shouldn't even be thinking it but does anyone know if it's possible to do the cairns to cape york trek at the start of november when the wet season is building up? The plan was to do the trek and then head to darwin but i am unsure of the road conditions/weather at this time.

You'll have problems crossing the Jardine as I think the ferry stops running at the end of October.

Eric would be the man to talk to, but i think it would be unusual for the ferry to stop in October as people of the NPA still need to get around.

It should not be a problem depending on the wet.
Ring the ferry on 07 4069 1369

All the best
