I am going to fraser island soon and was wondering what the price of petrol is at the moment. I was there last october and was curious as to how much it has gone up by.

If you are going via Inskip it is better to fill up at Matilda or other Gympie stations and only top up at
Rainbow and try to avoid buying on the island. How much dearer
Rainbow usually is than
Tin Can Bay or even the small stations between Gympie and the coast just shows how much people are prepared to pay for not doing a bit of planning. There is no freight factor over the surrounding towns to justify the
Rainbow Beach prices - yes you can understand the island being higher but not
Rainbow.

Dereck,
That is not bad at all - I have a place at Tin Can and often go over to
Rainbow for a swim and usually fuel is quite a bit higher - particularly compared to Gympie/Matilda.

Fraser is cheap fuel compared to Moreton ,,$1.75 per for unleaded at
Bulwer.
