G'day,
i think it is the ones still in their shells that are the concern. eg. like the ones in the enormous macadamia tree in my backyard :) mmmmm, fresh macadamia nuts and
home brew in the back yard..............

If the nuts are processed or in a sealed packed they will be OK.
But I would still
check with S.A Quaranteen website.

Spuds and carrots can be taken across if PEELED as the peel is the problem not the actual veg. Dont pack anything in cardboard boxes with spud packaging/logo`s on box as boxes will be confiscated as
well.

Border keeps changing first time it was near
Ceduna, last time it was closer to the border. Bottom line is there is all kinds of filth that live in WA and not in SA honey and fruit are just 2 how hard can it be to to cross the border with BA take stuff all and restock at
Ceduna

The quaqrantine station is at the border heading west and just on the outskirts of
Ceduna heading east.
As suggested above,
check with the authorities as the lists are quite involved and seem to change from time to time.
We have a booklet we picked up at one of the checking stations which is quite good. I believe it is available from the various motoring organisations, NRMA, RAA etc.
It is a good idea to pick up new copies regularly.
Also if you are heading west through
Broken Hill to SA there is a checking station 10km east of
Broken Hill and another at Oodlawirra which is about 260km west of the
Hill in SA on the Barrier Highway. Both west bound only.
