I am on the search for a power unit that can be fit to my campertrailer which will provide: 12V charge to a deep cycle battery from the car when connected, also provide 240V charge to the battery when power is available, uninterrupted power ie. unit automatically detects between the 12V & 240V input options. If available the unit could also have a output cigarette lighter socket.

Dear G&T (sounds like a drink),
Check out the Waeco 240v transformers. They can be hard wired into a camper unit to give
battery power and will automatically switch to 240 when it detects it. It has a cigarette lighter socket but I think it puts out 24volt and the Waeco fridge has circuitry that selects 12 or 24.
Mine is the bigger output transformer(to suit the 80litre) and I think they cost 160 bucks. Rus.

In fact, click on the Waeco add that's to the right of this and find the MPS-50 in the electronics section. Rus.
