Yes it does. I have seen member Wolfie and Mrs Wolfie (aka Tracey) doing death defying manouvers in their Delica. I think its basically a pajero chassis. COG would be high but the delicia will surprise everyone i think. LOOK here for a sample.

I thought it is based on the triton running gear?
Wolfie (Qld) would know, send him a message.

The new ones use Pajero running gear (pre NP), as they have Torsion Bar fronts and Spring Rears.

AFAIK , the Tritons still use Leaf springs.

Motor and Gearbox are the same though.

Essentially , the Delica will go the majority of places a Pajero will go.

The exception being a higher COG and so sideslopes pose a greater problem.

Those Delica vans really rock....We were up at Coburg Peninsular last year, just after the wet. Went through a creek crossing that almost came to the top of the GU bonnet. A bloody Delica went through like no ones business and it was towing a boat!. What we couldn't work out was how the little intercooler scoop on the front didn't fill with water!

Hell of a people mover...........

Try and find out a bit more what he wants to achieve. he might just want to do a bit of track driving and enjoy the company of others. If you explain to him the sort of trips you do he may change his mind or it may be what he is after (possibly he doesnt know what he want either) either way he will be making a better formed decision
