The biggest mistake in Australias history will be proven to be forcing the law abiding to give up their right to defend themselves against those who have no respect for the law, be the law wrong or not .... my g--s are ready and able lawfully ...

mmm i wonder how you do that...ready?
it would be silly to do it here as they are embarking on a check up of all owners to make sure they are no where near the live roundabouts...sooner or later they are going to catch someone and make a POINT in SA to all others

Yes, insured, and am hoping that the insurance company is as good as they claim when taking our money. No reason to doubt them.

The items were taken from the vehicle while in a motel carpark, well lit and no bushes etc for them to hide in. They put a screwdriver through the rear window, unlocked that to take the fridge and cameras, and then progressively opened the side sliders to get to the front for the GPS.
Both were Sony products.

Thanks to all for your thoughts.

Banjo

who you insured with?

I have checked out a few companies who tell me I need to insure goods in the car as 'portable items' on my home/contents policy and that seems to have the effect of adding around $100 on top of the annual premium per $1000 insured.

With a fridge, camping goods, GPS etc etc it's not hard to lose $3000 worth in one go.

Very expensive!

What set up have you got?

Should probably post this as a general question.

Cheers
