G'day Trevor.
I, too, have heard about the product ruining the tyres over time. There would also be a ballance problem in a high speed vehicle.
It got me going for another trip, wheras I would have had to leave the trailer home along with my spare
wheels, fuel and tent.
I think it's an amazing product. There were more pinholes in the tubes than you can point a stick at. It sealed them. I just put a little air in the tyres each morning and that was it for the day.
For my coming trip I've bought a bottle (not pressure pack) of green stuff that you put in all tyres before the event and leave there. I'm keeping it as an emergency measure.
For slow leaks I'm counting on pumping the tyres up and keeping going. If the leak is bad enough to see where it is, I can fix it with a tubeless tyre plug. I've got plugs and tools.
No doubt, the pressure pack product would be fine for a 4x4 tyre but it's success would be dependant on catching the problem before the bead is broken and/or the tyre ruined.
I'd rather put my trust in the spare tyre and jack, but my foremost straturgy is "drive to arrive."
Pleased you like the photos.
Regards,
Laurie.
