Done any water crossings or splashing through any puddles lately?
Checked the rubber grommets on the firewall are sealing?
was it on the flat floorpan section or behind the pedals?

The easiest place to check the condition of the grommets is on the engine bay side. Keep an eye out for ones with multiple holes in them. They often work loose esp if someone has run new wire through it recently.

There was also mention the other day in a thread of rear window squirter feeds being run down the sides of cars- can you identify all the cables in that channel as electrical? does the rear squirter have the same pressure as it used to?

Also check the underside of your doors- Mine has little slots for letting water drain out that clogged up with mud and water was sloshing around in the door. There is stuff on lcool.org about water in the sills, but as I understand it that is external to the cabin.

I found in my 80 series that when I fitted the speakers in the doors I ripped some the waterproofing inside the door. When it rained it came in through the door and dripped off the speakers. Refitted the plastic and bought two weather shields, one of those things fixed it.

Have you had a new winscreen fitted. I had the same problem after my windscreen was replaced. Went back and they resealed the windscreen. Problem solved. 80 series L/C

Yep that's my guess as well windscreen probs or the air con water disperser has been torn.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Air con water disperser is on the passenger side. I have had that problem also with the discharge hose comming away.

May pay to check same leaks I had on my 80 - windscreen top rubber seal leaked only if vehicle parked facing slightly downhill as water then ran under seal and only evident on floor carpet - remedy , new seal or" raise front susp. only" .
The steering firewall rubber seal was destroyed at 220,000 kms so another bad leak - easy to check firewall gaps etc. - place work light under bonnet at night & check under dash for tell tale holes .

Stan, you havn't stated what model cruiser but I had a 60 series which leaked in the front, wasn't the windscreen! wasn't the heater! turned out to be from under the bonnet where a rubber seal running the width of the bonnet is clipped in with plastic clips. the clips break off and water gets in thru the holes.
