If ya get a look in the latest Quokka, there's like a million surfs for sale, which is a little unusual, guess city folk dont know how to maintain them, therefor cooking the head, and deciding to get rid of them.
Was gonna buy one, but stumbled accross the rodeo.

Be a good time to buy a surf then!! I guess the increase in Diesel prices wouldn't be helping either, they are not the most economical diesel on the market!!
Best car I've ever owned this one, still lot's of work to do, lot's of toys I want to buy and add, but it's a slow old process of getting the $$$ together.

The 2.8L Rodeo's I'm pretty sure were still mechanical not electronic, so that's what I meant by "old school". Some people would prefer that to the newer ECU driven diesels.

What size tyres are you running too, if they are 31"R15's then I reckon you're economy would be pretty much spot on.
The advatage with the diesel is that you'll load the ol' girl up with everything (including the kitchen sink if you're me) and you won't to much worse on the economy!!

Hi Jeff M, Just wondering what is the restrictor in snorkel, we recently had safari snorkel put onto a patrol 05 and I could almost be certain the fuel economy went down slightly but being a female not game to mention it!!!!!!. Much appreciate it, michele

Chel, I would deffinatally be taking the "air ram" off the top of the snorkel and have a look. (you only have to loosen one philips screw on the hose clamp and it should come straight off). Not all of them have these restricers but they were very common in the Jackeroo's and Hilux's. It'll just be a metal washer (a big one) that you just lift out and then replace the air ram. It'll only take you 5 seconds and will make the world of difference if it's in there.
