G'Day all,
Just happened to catch a programme on Fox last night called "Rides". It's all about customizing vehicles. You may have seen it. They had a limited edition Enzo Ferrari getting a $40,000 wheel change and a new H2 Hummer getting a $80,000 plus custom job. The Hummer was getting such things as ... 10" plazma screen in the dash, VOX controlled mega watts sound system with multi 10" bass bangers, GPS, TV and Platstation console, and LCD screens on the roof and in every head rest. And not to forget.... the power opening petrol cap. All this plus a complete custom paint respray, chrome works and new mags & tyres.
Incredible!
I love the way the yanks spend their money.
Regards,
Bazza.

G'Day Wim,
IMHO the States is the only place were this type of business will thrive. It's part of their culture. Although I may not see the worth in this type of customizing, I have no problem with anyone doing it. Each to their own, if they've got the money and want to it ... go for it.
It would be a boring old world if everone had the same tastes and values.
The custom Hummer did'nt do much for me, although I was amazed at the amount of work gone into it. The Enzo was incredable, only 400 made world-wide, 18 months old, $650,000US new ( available to purchase by only selected buyers ),now $2.5milUS second hand, if you can find one. And now, another $40,000US to change to custom
wheels.
As I said before .... incredible!
Regards,
Barry.
