Anyone see the doco on National Geographic about the Bouganville Island rebels making their own diesel from coconuts??
Reckon they get twice the economy and it burns cleaner!!!

No way they would get twice the economy. The Cetane value of cocnut oil is higher than diesel, but not sufficient to get twice the economy. Because of the nature of coconut oil, you are basically forced to blend it with diesel or kerosane.

They more than probably get twice the economy, mainly because WE send cr-p diesel to our SUPPOSED freinds, ;)
