I sold my R290 over a year ago and I can't remember if it came with a PUK code. I bought it from that English supplier for $500. I wonder if anyone else who bought one can tell me. A subsequent owner has been asked for the PUK code and the question has found its way back to me. Can anyone help?

Don't recall it having a PUK code. Can't have, cos I don't know what a PUK is ... :o)

I might be wrong, but I understand the PUK code is issued by Globalstar (if thats who they are using) At least thats what I have written in my manual next to the PUK code

What is a PUK code?
PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. If you have entered you're PIN code incorrectly 3 times your sim card will be blocked and you will be unable to make and receive calls/texts.
You will need to obtain the PUK code from your Network/Service Provider - you will need to confirm some personal details for secuirty reasons before they will issue you with a PUK code.
