A car detailer sells spotties on Ebay and all is OK.
That's the answer I got when I asked the bloke.

/There was a poost 2 days ago about some spotlights on ebay that had been cut off a car. The thought was that the spotties where stolen and being traded trhough ebay.
A couple of people pointed out that car detailers and wreckers do the same thing and the sale might have been legit.
since the post have been removed this followup is pointed to the missing post.
