I traded the old Jackaroo in on a 3L td ST-R Navara yesterday. Been looking at new car for a while and finally bit the bullet. Went for a drive through the hills in
Perth towing a 900kg trailer which you wouldnt even have known was there. The power is fantastic and rides a dream. I must say that its the best experience ive ever had with car salesman, as they were not pushy and we sorted out the deal on scrap paper before anything was signed to save stuffing around. Got a great deal cause we replaced the missus car as
well, with free onroad costs and $1000 free fuel topping it off. Would recommend the dealer to anyone. Cant wait to get it off the black stuff and on the real stuff!!

Hi Jackman,
You will find the navara performs excellent on the rough stuff.
From my experience, you will find the following:
- Low ratio gears are great ratios, will get you anywhere.
- Fuel economy is very good.
- Perfoms
well with standard tyres (
mine have not worn out yet at 50,000kms)
- Has good approach and departure angle with no
suspension mods.
- Has no front recovery hook, so you will need to et the strap that can shackle off both front tie down hole at front of car (I was told not to connect snatch strap off single tie down point)
Happy motoring, as is is a fun car to drive

Wow.Correct me if I'm wrong, but if that is the same basic donk as in the much heavier Patrol, should really fire up..We had,for four great, years the last of the "real" Hiluxes, with live front axle..On trading it in,sadly,as they are all in the same basket now,we get whatever seems the go at the time..I am close to trading one of my rigs..For me,bearing in mind, these days, they are all
well made, the Nissan Navara is my first choice,Mitsubishi Trition second then the Toyota Hilux..(We have had good runs of all those three brands)I do not appreciate big rigs..Been there, done that, but family all grown up now..Got their own
wheels..They are all made in Thailand anyway,or at least assembled there,I believe.!MPG:3!
