Going to Mallacoota, Vic for 10 days and taking our pooch. Know we can't go into the National Park. Does anyone know any interesting drives we can do? Don't want serious 4WD stuff. Hoping for some help...Barbara

Just about everything there is part of Croajingalong. If you can organise for your pooch to be looked after for the day, Croajingalong is a must see. Head down to Thurra River or Mueller Inlet. Very beautiful - the road should be fine for 2WD, after heavy rain though I'm tipping it would be very slippery.

If you feel like heading further towards Melbourne (probaly close to two hours), Lake Tyers is great for fishing and you can have your doggy there.

Try Wallagarah retreat the turn to the right is about 10 k's north of Genoa.
Great camping with limited camping right on the river.Good bream Fishing and the border track nearby.

37-29.219 S 149-41.382 E

Privately owned Caravan/Camping park that loves families.

I recommend it.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Wingan Inlet is a beautiful spot but is part of the national park and no dogs allowed.

Thank you to all of you. Guess I'll need to lose the pooch for a day or so.
