Can't trust anyone they say (Not true of course) Here I am at 11am just reaching for the switch to turn on the air-con as it is too hot and stuffy, wearing long jeans and short sleeve cotton shirt..We had a winter of sorts, last year, but this year,it's missing..I see on one of the forums,a southern guy was putting up his soft-top rear flexible window..It broke in the 1 degree temp..Who has got our cold weather..Fair go mate..When do we get to have our Bonox & rum? Not cold enough yet and we only have three weeks of winter left..Sure,we live on the Tropic of Capricorn, but still,we used to get some pretty cold snaps..!MPG:7!

Yup... We've only had one snowfall on our place this season. Been hovering around -7 most mornings, but there are too many positive numbers during the day!

Hey Trippin'Around,.Like the shiver bit in your mssg..I remember,as per my snow pic, piling into my summer sleeping bag at 2 below, shivered & shook like a diesel in snow country, running on normal fuel..Saved by one of those magic little, pocket size "space blankets" (silver one side, camo green other)..Instant warmpth when I put that on..Everyone should carry one..Uses:Rain coat,Groundsheet,Warmpth for accident/shock victims,Screen & of course,blanket..(Mate of ours makes his own rum..Good drop..Calls it Bio-Rum))

Winters due back to Victoria this Wednesday. Snow down to 600 metres forecast:-)
Time to head for the hills this weekend & play in the white stuff.
You can keep your heat! I always reckon when it gets cold I can put more clothes on but when it's 35 degrees with 95% humidity it's still damm hot even when one's got no clothes on at all.
Cheers Craig.................

Hi Craig & rest of the crew, Guess I got the wrong idea of the climate down there when I had 2 1/2 years at the RAAC army camp at Puckapunyal "Valley of the winds"..Froze for all of September, never saw a shadow once..But I love the roads in that area..They have bends,hills,trees..Not a lot of any of those just here..(Brigalow trees don't count)

Even we folk from Benalla avoid Pucka like the plague. Wind chill factor of minus 10 on a good day ;-)

So,some like it cold, some like it hot..Colder days are ok with me as long as the sun shines..Seems 10deg warmer in the sunlite with "real" shadows being cast..On my second posting down to Puka from Bris,I had my MGA soft-top sports car..Had a lot of good drives in it to places like Benalla (nice town),Shepparton,Mansfield etc..Roads up in that northern area of Vic are magic these days, the ones off the highway I mean,of course..Was 8deg as I switched my Mac on this morn at 8am,no wind and great sunshine..Nippy little breeze has come since..Ideal for hobby welding.Blows smoke/smell away..12:17 pm,time to go home,16k & 5 bends.Enjoy your weekend guys..That's an order !
