Taken a bit longer to get the photos but they are ready to go now.

I think the photos show how the rear bar/ wheel carrier works.
My main concern was the carrier itself. I did not want it to break on rough roads so the side braces on the main up right were added and a brace under the top bracket.
The steel tube is 50mm x 100mm and the rear bar is 5mm steel plate. A piece of checker plate will be added soon and that will be on top of the bar to give a bit of grip when I stand on the bar.

I am very happy with the way it turned out.

That is one set of "serious" brackets! If all your welds hold, they should say put! Mind you , if they do come adrift, I do'nt want to be behind you. ( just kidding )

Yes there is a bit of weight there but the Troopie can take it. I can stand on the back of the vehicle and the vehicle does not dip down. The 12 leaf rear suspension has a lot to do with that.
