Hi Tuff-Troll.
I have had two landrovers and have had a great run out of both. My son has the last one i had, which is a 96 Defender which has done two trips to the canning and countless trips to the simpson plus the cape last year. The only problem we have had is a small oil leak from the rear of the motor, and you have to check the timeing belt which should be changed every 100000klm approx.

If you have any friends in Adelaide it may be worth looking at a govt auction today as there is a Defender with every bolt on under the sun and only 32000kms on the clock going under the hammer....

thanx for the link ... didn't realise that sooooo many hatersw out there lolol
maybe they should spend more time petioning Toyota for beam axles , LSD's that work , lololol Nissan owners should do like wise and ask to stop their GU's pulling to the left and their 5 speeds breaking and the pistons burning in the 3ltsTD llolol
and leave L/R owners to their kooky little world lololol

once again thankyou , will be looking around today as i have 3 weeks holiday's

cheers

As I said on another recent Landrover thread - have a look at the posts on this forum and you see which vehicles keep on popping up time and time again - occasionally it is a Landrover but not very often!!

Gazza,

Thats cause only new & unusual topics are posted, not "the sun came up this morning" posts...hehe

Maybe you could post I just traded in my Defender/Rangie/Disco with 400,000k on the clock and it never missed a beat, never had an oil leak, never had an electrical fault, never had an ABS issue just turn the key and away it went..... :-)

Cheers Browny

I owned a 130 defender for a while and it was the Mercedes benz of the bush but the Holden Camira of reliabilty. I bought it with 70,000 km on the clock and i believe in this day and age no car should especially a diesel have problems with so little km's.Good luck anyway maybe i just got a bad one.
