We recently bought a late 80's Jayco Swan. Mostly we're very pleased with it but one small thing we've noticed is that when we all get into bed, the weight on each end seems to flex the camper and the door pops open. Previous owner had added a second latch, now we know why, but just wondering if anyone has come across this problem in the 'beds that pop out the ends' type campers and if so do you have a solution.

Sounds like a chassis problem.
Does it have support legs in each corner ?
Sounds like the thing is flexing too much. Either the chassis , or the body.
Neither is good.
Its certainly not something that SHOULD be happening

My sons does the same and we checked the chasis and it does flex a little so his solution = 4 cheap scissor jacks one at each corner and jack until they start to lift.
Works fine.
Try it with borrowed jacks first and see how you go.
