Am going around Australia towing a 18-20 ft van with a Nissan Patrol 3.2 diesel.
Can anyone tell me what to expect from the vehicle economy wise.

Do you mean 3.0 or 4.2 as I have just completed approx 10,000 km with a 4.2 Intercooled Turbo

Check if it has four cylinders or six, doesn't make that much difference anyway. Six uses a bit more than the four. Probably about $10.00 difference from Sydeney to
Brisbane.
My four auto gets about 11L/100 with nothing on the back and 15 to 16L/100 with 2 tonnes of tandem van in tow.

Angler
I have a 4.2 litre and towing I get a little under 15 l/100 km. Friend who has the 3.0 litre uses over 16 l/100 km. (100 km/h)
When not towing his fuel economy is about 11 l/100 km and
mine about 12 l/100 km. (110 km/h)
You are correct when you say "Doesn't make that much difference anyway".

I think Sash may be talking about the 3.3 out of the MQ's...
