Hi Folks,
The planning of yet another annual adventure across the great country which is to begin in
Cairns and end in
Cape Leveque (similar to last years trek). This time we will take in the heady delights of
Normanton,
Camooweal,
Birdsville (ok so it is a circular trip), Rabbit Flat, Laj and lots of other
places in and around.
Yes, we do enjoy the trip each time and this being the 14th such trip we are still looking forward to each days adventure.
However, and there has to be one.... the wife has just pointed out that we have not been down one road and so I am seeking advice, thoughts, experience from the
forum.
We would like to think that we can travel from
Camooweal across Austral Downs and the Sandover to Alice.... from there to other
places.
Has anyone been along this road recently or can offer things to see or look out for, fuel points etc. while toddling along ?
I presume that it is a two day trip at least ?
