Bumper carrier for boat motor. Morning all, has anyone fitted a carrier to rear of their 4WD with out buying the whole bumper system just the bracket onto the present bumper I have the latest Deisel Patrol ( and loving it ) We are going to do the big trip and will be putting a 9.9 Merc on the front of the Caravan for the long trips but want to carry the Merc and tinnie when
camping away from the Caravan.
With limited funds I don't wish to spend the lot on a new rear bumper system I thought reading another foram that maybe the extra spare wheel holder may be addapted any suggestions guys and gals.

I converted my swing out wheel carrier to adapt for carrying a 15hp outboard motor. I can email a picture of my set up

We had a dual wheel carrier fitted by K&N and they fabricated and outboard moter bracket that just bolts straight on - about $100 or so I think. Brilliant!

Theres one on ebay at the moment to suit a cruiser....might be able to mod it...
