I have a tension wrench of the type where the tension required is dialled up on a micrometer at the end on the handle. There is a lock nut at the base of the handle. How do I know when the dialled tension is reached. Should I hear an audible click or feel a click throught the handle? As you can probably guess I've never used the damn thing before?
Please spare me the obvious smart comments as I already feel pretty stupid and embarrased by just posting this question.

When tension is reached the bolt or nut will stop turning, the wrench will click and you will probably feel the click in the handle. - never push the wrench further it will cause damage

Yeah you should hear a click when you reach the dialed tension but be careful as some dont work on left hand nuts and bolts.
