Mr F
Would like to know if it would be possible for a Jayco outback dove to travel through the
canning stock route

Yep no problem we have done the trip with our goldstream. Just drive to suit the conditions and with the correct tyre pressure.

Thanks pmacks. Does it matter which direction you travel for example going through the
simpson desert from
Birdsville the first
sand dune is 90m high coming from the other end the same
sand dune is not that big. Is the
canning stock route like that. When did you do the trip .

Mr F
we did the trip north to south and i am sure with the csr it does not make that much difference. We did the trip 3 years ago and had no problems but i am sure it has changed a lot since we did it. The most important thing when towing on this type of trip is to not only have reliable vehicle but have the trailer set correctly as
well and drive to the conditions and not just charge at every sand
hill like a bull at a
gate. We met a group of four vehicle comming the other way and they were causing more track damage than i thought possible simply because they were running to high a tyre pressure, couldn't tell them but. We ran the camper at 22 psi the whole way with no problems but we were not in a hurry and took our time.
Have a great trip
