Howdy, does anyone know whats the biggest tyres one could fit onto a Holden Rodeo 4x4? They come standard with 245/70R16.. Was hoping to fit 31X10.5R15 or 265/75R16? The only lift I'll end up fitting is an OME with uprated torsion bars and slightly stiffer springs..
My Previous Holden used to catch with 31" under articulation in the rear. Would really like to get some more lift on my new one.
Thanks

g'day bryanw,
the previous model rodeo for over ten years had a narrow track that caused tyre scrubbing in the rear unless you used an offset rim. the new rodeo doesnt have this problem. i run 31/ 10.5 r15 with no problems. on the standard lx steel rims i have fitted 275/75r16, which i use off road with a 35 mm crank in the front and 45 mm spring upgrade in the rear the only mod needed is to trim the rear of the front corner flare/mud flap. there is quite a difference in diameter between the 3 sizes discussed so be carefull of the speedo, rta and possible insurance implications of a change. the torsion bars are in the super strong class and i dont know of and replacements being available or necessary.
regards peter

Thanks for the info, know what I need to do now. Going to fit a set of 265/75R16 MTR's. If 275's work then 265/75R16 will be perfect!
Thanks again for the info!

mays
well stick to da standard tyres cos the uni and cv bust easy on da RA's with tyres that grip hard. Iv seen it happen 2 three so far. the LT rodeo's were much better offroad vehicle.
