I will be needing a new exhaust soon (a few small holes in the silencer) and wondered if extractors are worth the expense when fitted to a 2 H toyota diesel.

Brett few years ago I fitted extractors to a HJ75 troopie and i was never convinced about performance increase, unlike the petrol engines, and the vehicle become noisier on long trips can be a bit annoying

Hi Brett
I have the same model 4wd. I was told that extactors would improve performance/economy. Economy was not improved but the down low performance was to a small degree, wether it was worth the cost [$ 280} who knows? Hope it helps!PHIL

Thanks Phil,
I ended up spending a bit more and put recon injectors in the engine and had the timing checked and a rocker adjust.
The original injectors were not to bad, the timing was out by 6 degrees and the rockers adjusted and now it is as if I am driving a rocket.
Thanks for the info on the extractors.
