Hi notnow,
I have the EF wagon. 1 of the doors refused to lock, tracked it down to a faulty actuator. Went to Ford and asked how much for the repair, $160 incl. labour. Thought I could do it cheaper so I went to Bursons & Autobarn, cheapest aftermarket one I could get at the time(about 5 years ago) was $140 odd... Went back to Ford and let them handle it. Was expensive because it has a unique plug(at least thats what Autobarn told me)

Couldn't you just replace it with one from Jaycar for $10? Just a small amount of wiring and perhaps having to use the supplied connecting rod.

Probably could've but I wasn't sure what I was doing to start with... Took best part of a day to track down a power anomaly to the particular actuator.
