There was quite a few posts with bad examples of warranty (non) payments. I have a good example, for change:
We purchased an 18 years old cruiser a few months ago, that came with a SAphire Blue warranty from Australian Vechicle Warranty Group (AVWC). Just before our big trip I became suspicious about a slight whine in the rear diff: a bearing and a gear had to be replaced. Soon after, on the trip, the gear box broke down - it had to be replaced. AVWC covered most of the costs, in accordance with the warranty rules. We had no hassles from them whatsoever, we only had to get their approval prior to having the repairs done.
This type of the warranty is a great thing when you are buying second-hand and not knowing the history of the vechicle. In our case, the previous owner was probably towing in 5th gear. This can save a lot of money if you have a bad luck to stumble accross such a vechicle.

Good to hear some positive news.
As a rule most of us shout from the rooftops when we are wronged but keep a low profile when we receive good service. (me included, must do something about that)
What did the cover cost?

THe warranty was covered by the dealer-I don't know how much it was. I am not sure, but I think only the dealers can get this warranty for the vechicles they sell.... if they break down within the warranty period, the premium to the dealer goes up.

I have nothing but praise for them as
well.
We have an old Pajero (88, TD, 54,000km, still for sale (hint, hint)) that needed some work done. The warranty covered the power steering and airconditioning. It didn't cover the muffler or
suspension, but it clearly stated that in the booklet.
Payment was prompt, and they delt directly with our mechanic to ensure the right work was carried out.
Cheers,
Chump
