In my case I chose the TX 3400 as it has a remote head that allows for easy placement in my Patrol. There was little space avaiable for any other stryle of UHF. The TX 3200 fits into dash board slots if available.

I'm very happy with the TX 3400.

Cheers,

Patrick

I chose the 3400 for the above reasons too.

Hey Crazie,
Where'd you get the software for the TX3400?

Got the 3200.

Did first think of getting the 3400, but looking at placement in the cabin decided I didn't need the remote head. The 3200 is pretty small anyway and is only 3 or 4 times longer than the remote head.

Specs on both units are the similar for sensitivity and features.

So decided to save the difference and keep it in my pocket. :-)

I got a 3200 because it was recommended by a few people I trust. It was also an easy fitment in the old car.

It fits nicely in the GU too. The OE stereo in the GU is twice as big as it needs to be so after fitting the Kenwood the 3200 goes in the dash with room for a couple of pens tucked down the side.

I got a 3400 coz one was offered to me at the right price. But a 3200 would have fitted just as well in the GU. I really find that I don't use all the bells and whistles that the 3400 has. Performance of the 3200 is identical, just less features.

i got the 3200 - Nice and small - and fits nicely on the side of the centre console on passanger side- One thing i didnt like about the GME (to late now ) is no manual adjustable squelch - it has an auto noise gate that still allows really dirty sound through - when traveling in a convoy - you dont need to pick up others from miles away - and would be just nice to adjust accordingly - also dont skimp on the arial -

I've been looking fairly widely over the last few weeks and 299 at Prestige Coms is as low as I've found
