I am planning a trip from
Perth around the bottom of Oz (S.A, Vic, NSW & ACT) I know this may be a bit premature as we are not going to do it until next year, but I would like to ensure I get the best on my trip
I am going with the wife and 3 kids (1 son aged 11 and twin girls aged 9) we have an off-road camper trailer that has been used in some pretty tough conditions , so off-road travelling doesn’t bother us at all.
Although what I would really like is to hear about those spots, that unless you are a local you would drive straight past.
Any ideas would be most welcome
Thanks in advance

Depends on what keeps your children happy. Are they up to climbing mountains? Beaches? Fishing? Bush walking?
Camping in out of the way
places? All those are things that would have interested me as a nipper, but you would have an unhappy brood if they just hated the itinerary. We did a tour of SW (picking up
places we hadn't seen in a lifetime in the SW), the coast around
Esperance, and the Eyre Peninsular and
Gawler Ranges SA last January. Didn't have children in tow, and some days it was too hot to climb the mountains. Didn't catch any fish either, but loved every minute of the trip.

Thanks for the reply, The Kids are great, they love to do anything , we also did the trip to
Esperance at Christmas , then went back to
Perth via Mt Ragged , Balladonia , Noresman and Kalgoorlie. So any spots of interest will be helpful as we have yet to venture outside W.A

marty you have to have a look at the victorian high country if you`ve never been there before. I done a 3mth trip from qld through nsw and vic and the best part of the hole trip was
vic high country.
Im sure some local
forum members will give you some advice/tips on where to go & what to see.

Our kids loved climbing down into
the caves at
Eucla, they can even have a swim. They are a few Ks past the repeater tower on the
hill, ask the locals for directions.
