Anyone know of any good caravan parks/
camping grounds in either of these
places, I am not having much luck searching the internet for somewhere to stay with the kids during the next school hols. Any info much appreciated.

You could try Aaron on 0411702236. He runs the
Emerald Caravan and Cabin Village.
Lake Maraboon Holiday Village 07 49823677 is a nice place too. It's out of town about 20Km etc but a great place to relax by the dam.
If you're coming from
Roma there is a
camping ground on the LHS of the road 1/2 way between
Injune and
Roma. Can't remember the name but I bet you could just call in.

You could try the Nogoa Caravan
Park in
Emerald I have stayed there many times, can be noisey but not intimidating, if it is picking season but otherwise OK.
Otherwise if you don't need power there is a
free camp under the bridge on the Eastern edge of town, to shower I just head out to the
Caltex truck stop about 3km east of town and fuel up to get free showers.
