Can anyone recommend or suggest a supplier of aftermarket rear diff gears (crown wheel & pinion) to suit 80 series. Thanks

Place in
Brisbane - Pretty sure they are called "Wholesale Auto Parts" or Wholesale 4wd Parts " At Acacia Ridge or Salisbury. Try Internet Search.
Good Luck

Muddy,
If talking
Brisbane you could try Diff Lapping (maybe one word) am sure they are at Kedron. They did a good job straightening the wife's jackeroo diff, if they don't have what you want I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.
Cheers Trevor.

If in WA, the cheapest I found was
Differential & Transmission Specialists
18 Jersey St Jolimont 6014 (08) 9387 6477
$540 an end
Let us know which mob you end up going with.

G & J Gears Pty Ltd
7 Bruce St Mornington 3931
(03) 5976 1585
the people most others buy theirs from. These dudes import container loads.
IMHO, you are much better off going with Genuine even if they are used.
www.lcool.org and have a look here.

There is a set of gears to suit a 100 series front on ebay...they are aftermarket, so thesame people would be able to get rear 80 aswell.
The price on the front gears is $375 for a 4.3 brand new aftermarket. Problem is you dont know the quality....

There are standard ratio which factory or Asano are the only ones worth fitting, and there are 2 different manufacturers of lower ratio's, which are also cheaper than the other options.

G'day, have you had any experience with Asano kits? I have found a source for them and they appear quite cheap.

Asano, or OE are the only ones to use for standard ratio.
