I find it very hard to fault the Meridum (Gold, Colour etc) for this purpose.

I use a "Gold" in the vehicle and deer shooting, plus on the 4 wheeler when spot spraying for weeds out in the paddock. Easy to use with pre loaded maps and down loaded track info for finding that camp site before leaving home.

I bought one yesterday from gpsoz thats there web site.
I was going to buy a navman pin or similar but he sujested other wise because of toughness.

Give him a call and have a chat.
Brian Summerville is his name.
I had 2 people away with me this year and they couldnt recomend him higher and after talking to him he sujested the quest.
I ordered it over the phone and it turned up 2 days later and I have called him twice and he steared my on how to use it.

All the best
Eric

The one they used to say "The you that look that women get...."

willem didnt have nav stuff...just a hand held gps that could be connected to lap top when driving......great for finding where one is on a map though
but this is a big boys toy she might like even if it is to justify the purchase? and if not who cares ...just so long as swmbo doesnt find out....

I have as said got one a few days ago and so far very impressed.
The voice directions when driving a very clever.
I was looking at the maps that come with it , there are 2 types all major cites and roads and them most 4wd tracks.
You get a couple of cds with it and down load them to the computer and you can look at them on the computer screen.
It amazes me what is on that small gps.

all the best
