Going very
well, Parks Vic consult with 4wd Vic on a regular basis, they have a very good liaison team working very
well together on many issues.
This year one small project is the preparation of track
clearing at the end of winter, Parks have already advised that there are many fallen trees and they have asked for assistance from the various 4wd clubs via 4wd Vic to help with the
clearing operations.

Maverick, great to here that similar things are happening over WA
We have done a few trips over your way and have thoughly enjoyed it hopefully the tracks will stay open longer.
Maybe we need a system where we can ring a special number and report these inconsiderate people it appears reading different -posts- that most people are getting sick of the "Cowboys" especially now that track abuse and 4x4s are becoming more and more under scrutiny by the media and the authorities
Happy
camping

Thanks for that Barry and others. NSW Association lead the charge with a MoU with their Parks Service. The Victorian agreement has been a terrific success story and is moving to greater strength as we have now secured funding for a new member of staff to manage a range of issues with respect to tracks in Victoria. We are presently expanding our MoU to include the department of sustainability and environment which have responsibility for all forest and other crown land area's. If you want anyone can have emailed a copy of our "e news" which is published each month on Victorian issues. All the best and keep on enjoying our great country.

Hi Michael
Its great to here about these inititives that go on behind the scenes
unfortunately the hard work done by all involved goes largely unnoticed
and we only here about all the negatives associated to 4x4 driving by the media and that small element of 4x4s that do the wrong thing !!
I'm sure there are a lot of clubs that provide valuable
services that go unnoticed by the community at large
As my wife and I enjoy our responsible 4x4 driving mostly in National Parks we really appreciate the work that is being done to keep the tracks open
Keep up the good work
Cheers
Barry
