Has anyone bought cv boots for there jack lately? Have got a 99 t/d, just bought some boots today but they don't look like they will fit. Parts book didn't list from about 95 onwards. Any help would be appreciated as to where to get some. Haven't rung Holden dealer to get shocked yet.

Gday Gronk
We use the repco brand in our workshop as we find these the best quality.
They aren't too stiff or too soft and reasonably priced.
We used to use the Oiteka brand. Spelt right I hope.
Maybe this will help.

Hi Gronk,

I did both sides about 4 months ago. $10 or $20 per boot (plus my labour!) from memory which I sourced from a local CV supplier in Brisbane. If you're in Brisbane and need more info, I can dig out the supplier's name from the receipt. Let me know.

I did the driver's side inner and outer boots on my 97 Rodeo. Cost me about $2x for both boots along with the four clamps and some grease. Mine wasn't listed either but either the earlier or later model Rodeos were. The parts guy reckoned all the Rodeos were the same so I bought them and they fit fine.

I went to a Holden dealer and asked for a price and they quoted me about the same as the aftermarket stores. I asked why Holden wasn't more expensive as per usual and the guy said that Holden are more expensive. It is just what he quoted me on was for aftermarket parts as Holden are about $70 for exacty the same thing. So that Holden dealer didn't even use Holden parts. So much for "risk becoming less of a Holden if serviced elsewhere" ROFLMAO.

We use cv boots manufactured for offroad racing applications for 4wds, they have room for 2 cklamps per end, and are the toughest boot you will find.

Can also be fited with a boot gun.

Utemad you're right , I was quoted $60 a couple of years for my old Jackaroo by GMH . I own 3 front wheel cars and the new Jack and I am sick of changeing CV boots , my hands are constantly black.Dotcom where do you source the competition boots as I find most aftermarket boots just don't last all that long , 3 to 4 years on the road cars and less on the 4by.
