Well everyone, after a long time looking, and a number of questions to you good people I have finaly got my 4wd,
ended up finding a nice 92 GQ 4.2 diesel.
so thank you very much to everyone who answered my various questions about different cars, much appreciated.
Now that I have a 4wd i figured it was about time I paid my way, so have also just upgraded to be member of this great site.

Good onya Zach.......that's 2 great decisions you've made now!!!
The GQ is a tough beast and I'm sure you'll be pleased with it (although if it's the naturally aspirated diesel you might wanna start saving your sheckles for a snail to bolt onto the exhaust manifold ;-)
As for your other decision......
well, what can i say except "welcome to mad-house".

Excellent choice the GQ mate. Looking forward to the pics too.
I agree with the idea of saving up some dollars for a turbo. Dont cut corners trying to save a couple of hundred either. Get it done right first time. You wont regret it.
