Hi Guys

Does anyone know if there is an LPG conversion available for the Holden Frontera LWB 1999?

Also if anyone has had one done and how does it perform?

And is it possible to use the LPG supply as a Secondary / reserve source rather than a primary source. The reason for this would be the availability of LPG in the bush ie Keep the gas as the reserve tank and have the option to switch supply from town to country.

As leroy said "Not recommended"
I have a 98 V6 Rodeo.
I wouldn't recommend LPG to this motor, unless you have done the heads and fitted hardened valves!
Mine has now covered 240K klms on gas (of 340K klms), but at around the 180-200thou mark, it started to develop a flat spot.
I took it to the Holden dealer, never again :( , I explicitly took it there for them to fix the flat spot! I explained that the plugs were new (Platinum!) and not to replace them.
Yet they replaced them :(
Never fixed the problem!
My mechanic did, though the root problem is valve recession, and the need to adjust the valve shims every 10K klms now :(
The vehicle goes, much less power and excessive fuel consumption, but @ $2K to fix the heads(valves)................I'm regretting it!.
If you decide you want to go ahead with LPG, then you can drive on petrol or gas, as you wish.
So yes, to using the LPG as a reserve, but why? It's not worth the money!
