G'day all. I own a 2005 Gu Patrol (3.0L), and I am about to install an aftermarket Alpine CD player and Uniden UHF in the factory head unit position. Does anyone know what wires are what?! Also, the factory aerial plug is a two-pronged arrangement, whereas the new CD player is the standard single plug - any advice there?? Thanks in advance.

I got my wiring diagram from the install doctor web site but you now need a pw but there is another but you will have to look through the pages but I'm sure there will be one that matches. You will need to pull your stereo out first.

The factory antenna twin plug lead connects to the antenna in the kick panel. Buy an antenna extension lead and replace the lead that goes from the kick panel to the radio.

If your going to all that trouble, put an MP3/WMA player in there....

You can buy adapter plugs for Alpine to Patrol - or I could for my GQ, thats how they wired it when I got my MP3 player installed.

Thanks Truckster, it is an MP3/WMA player. I haven't been able to find the adapter plug for the new patrols. I would prefer using one of those than cutting the factory plug off.

I am having similar problems and have found a supplier. They are wgholesale however and will not sell to the public.
They have a web site that displays their dealers.
The aerial converter is AP348A and the power thing I think is APP0120

just put an alpine in my GU, antenna should plug straight in (I installed a long range on bull bar). the wiring is easy black =neg, red?=pos, and i think its yellow?=constant pos for memory. to check just use a test light.
