Hi All,
As a follow up to my previous Post 25924 and proposed upgrade to a Jayco Outback Freedom 14', I would appreciate constructive comment regarding the Simplicity Axle system. The Jayco Outback models are obviously strengthened for tougher use but a further option is to further strengthen the
suspension by opting for a Single Simplicity Axel (in my case a 1500kg).
I am afraid I am not really steet smart in this area of expertise and was wondering if anyone could advise me the benefits of such an upgrade given expected option cost of near $1260. Will it be worth it?
Cheers.

Peter, are you intending do do serious offroad stuff? I know several ppl with Jayco outbacks (varying models) none have had trouble. My only concern with them is the big snow plough draw bar which frightens the hell out of me when I imagine taking one through heavy sand.

Thanks Muzzgit,
Not a "serious" off roader as the bride prefers the black top stuff.
However, I do get away a bit fishing with the lads and visit out of the way
Murray river spots and will also be looking at least at the
Oodnadatta track next visit to the Centre. Just want to be sure of safe travel and as smooth as possible.
Can't imagine the wife being happy with "her" van being anywhere near sand!
Cheers.

Thanks Collyn for your expert advice.
Obviously I will need to consider this aspect of weight.
Cheers.
