We are about to purchase a trailblaza fridge-freezer. Would like to hear from anyone who may have purchased one or knows anything about them.

Hi farmer....
We purchased our 70L standard two years ago and absolutely love it!!!!!!!! They are a tough fridge, work very
well, in fact, ours survived a rollover and didn't miss a beat!! We also use it at home as a "bar fridge", comes in very handy!

I've had
mine for 11 years, been in the back of the cruiser (2) constantly since then, it has never missed a beat.
Cheers

Mine is using slightly more power than it was when new, It's only about 18 years old now and never had any problems. I use it 24/7 (terrible term I know) I have two 18 litre kegs in it full of brown very drinkable stuff. The rubber around the top is failing as
well. I think
mine was the first 100 litre model built
If I knew it was only going to last twenty years or so I may not have bought it !!!!!

I bought my 80 litre model about 15 years ago and it has not faulted although it is only used on average 6 weeks a year, If I ever had to buy another fridge it would be a trailblazer but the 60 litre size, I find I never need all the capacity and it is difficult to lift the lid sufficeintly while it is in the back of the L/cruiser. I think all models are the same dimensions width by depth it is only the height that determines the size ( capacity) so a smaller capacity fridge is not as high.
The spec`s say
mine uses 5 amps while running as a fridge ( 3-4 oc ) on 12 volts and runs about 25% of the time when the ambient tempature is 32 oc, which means in theory that it should use 30 amp/hours per day, but because it runs less time of a night it uses less. It has an optional thermostat and switch which allows me to run it as a deep freeze if I wish, which of course means it runs for longer per day.
It is important to leave an air space of 3" min. all around the outside as the outer surface is the condensor.
Hope this helps,
Scrubcat.

11 years, 15 years, 18 years, 2 years. That's a pretty good track record. No, it's a bloody good track record.
I didn't know they'd been around that long. Learning everyday.
I was happy with six years out of my Engel before I sold it (still going strong but too small).
Hope my Waeco lasts as long as some of these.
Sounds like a fine fridge.
