G'Day,

Was just toying wiht the idea of downloading the POI update for the C320 to be able to load these things in.

Have you downloaded the new software? What format does it need info entered?

csv. is the format needed to be able to upload files to your C320...
I have actually worked out how and have uploaded all the red light and speed camera positions to mine just now...
It is a lengthy excercise to do the converting...If anyone wants the instructions on how to do this and what programs are needed,,,, just send me an email.....(gqpatrol at bigpond dot net dot au)
If you are in Adelaide i could even email you the files i made for the cameras...

Regards Voxson.

G'Day,
How does the alert show? As a point of interest? Just wondering because I would be interested in doing this if worthwhile. My Uniden GPS 205 has most speed / red light cameras loaded as Lat/Long points and alerts when I get to within 300m

Yes.. It alerts within 400metres,,, you can also make it only alert if you are speeding by setting a predetermined speed for each area...

HI VOXSON . i bought a c320 2 weeks ago went on a trip but found map s/ware out of date by at least 3 yrs . traveled from kalbari to northampton along coast rd/hwy which has been around for more than 3 yrs and as a gravel rd for more than 10 yrs . c320 kept telling me of route had to gag the bird in the end and just watch a line in the midle of n/where.Another time set destination as grt n/hwy deliberately traveld on a rd that ran almost par.to grt n/hwy.which was to my left c320 kept saying of route & when a rd came up on my left that would get me to the h/wy it would say turn right. HAVE you had any experienc like this , may be im doing something wrong.

G'Day,
Did the unit come with V6.0 mapping? This was supposed to update a lot of roads.

G'Day all,
according to the Garmin website there are two software downloads, one dated 29/7 and the other 26/8 which I assume would not be on the unit or CD. One is a USB driver, the other a program to upload POI, (Points of Interest). Haven't been game to upload these into the unit yet but have them on the PC ready to go.

C 320 updates

Regards

I have installed the usb driver and noticed nothing and the POI just installs on your PC and allows you to send in the files you make up... I will send you the instructions soon by email..
