Hi All,

Just got back from a week long trip around Hillston NSW, the first for my FJ62 series, I must say I was more than impressed by how it handled itself off road and in the mud, even with nothing but standard equipment (tyres included).

However when I was driving for long trips down the highway, (more than 100km) occasionally the Air Cleaner Blocked and Battery light flicker on and off together intermittantly. I was unable to to see any pattern for this occuring, such as hitting bumps, changing speed etc. I have checked the Air Filter Sensor and also the Alternator and confirmed that both lights are not being lit due to a genuine fault. These lights are also incidently the two lights which come on then the ignition is on and the engine is not running, so I have also tested the bulb check relay and it appears to be ok. This leads me to believe that it must be some sort of wiring fault somewhere in behind the dash.

My question is has anyone else experienced this same fault before and any pointers on which part of the wiring would be a good starting place. I am trying to avioid dismantling the entire dash if at all possible.

Thanks And Regards,

62Cruza.
