Has anyone any experience of Goodyear Wrangler ATRs?
I have a LC 100 GXL T/D and have got 84000 kms from BFG All Terrains. A mate suggested the Wranglers as a replacement.

Getting good reviews, the previous pattern could be a little noisy as they wear.

Barry it depends on what you intend to use them for . BFG A/T are pathetic in Mud and even though the MTR are not a Mud tyre , they do
well in the mud , not as good as a BFG M/T but much better than a BFG A/t . I will go as far as to say that MTR's would have to be the best choise of Multy terrain tyre on the market today .

Thanks,
Major use when away is sand and gravel, very little mud. At home, of course, its mainly the blacktop.

Have to agree with Rock Crawler, and those that knock the Wrangler don't know what these new ones can do, they think if it was crappy before then that's their final opinion.
These latest MTR's are bluddy good.Great on and off the blacktop, and excellent wear value, and sing like any chunky tread pattern does, but not annoying.
I haven't used the ATR's, but keep on enquiring, someone will know or have them.

Just had a set of the Goodyear Wrangler MTR'S put on my Patrol last weekend, not as noisy on road as I was expecting, and hopefully wont slide around as much on the slippery stuff as I did on the all terrain's. At $238.00 a tyre, im happy. (31 10.5 R15's)

i had Wrangler ATS on my Jeep and thought they were good until I lost traction on a muddy decline earlier this year. I fitted a set of MTRs' and they are so much better.

I have had both BFG AT and Wranger ATR.
The BFG AT's would do 80k to 140K - depending how & where you drive. They did 'go off' after about 2 years
The Wrangler ATR have done 40K km so far, and are holding up OK, but they too are going off. I did notice an additional fuel consumption of 0.5K / L with then tho. Dont know why, but started from the time the tyres had been changed.
Neither are MT, so dont be misled in that area.
