Near death experience in my new 100 series

Some prick, bleep off his nut, turned straight in front of me tonight and totalled my new 100 Series. My missus is still in shock and I'm one big angry boy right now.
I had just finished the Cruiser at 4.30pm this arvo - no joke. About $7,000 worth of accessories and probably 60 man hours of work completely f&*%ed.
Were both OK so it's all fine, but I'm still a bit dark. I was coming home from the OBH with Vanessa and luckily I'd been drinking mids so I was fine. This c*&t just drove straight in front of me. I checked him out for DRABC and got the extinguisher ready. He's a bit messed up but should be OK too.
Well I guess he's gonna be paying off one
well expensive vehicle for the next 20 years.
I don't give a s*&t what the poindexters say, we are SOOOOOOOO glad I drive a 2.5 T 4WD. If I didn't, we'd both be in the ER, not sitting out the back verandah drinking Black Label Beam and bottles of Cabernet Merlot right now.
Life is real short folks - make each day count!!!!!!!!
Anyway forumites, there's no use whingeing. More to the point - what do I buy next????????? Might go for a PAIR of V8 diesels now...Hahahahaha...........

Glad to hear you're both OK... P.I.T.A when things go bad like that. Now you've got to find the time to go 4by shopping again...
BTW, some poindexter(media type) would turn all this around in favour of the prick and give it the old "if you were'nt driving a 2.5t 4by, he wouldn't be messed up either" treatment.
FWIW, serves him right for drink driving, just a shame it ended up costing you as
well.

I am with you about glad to be in a 4by. I won't be giving up
mine or my wifes 4by either. My families protection comes first.
Yep we would really upset the do gooders as we are 2 4by owning family.

Glad to hear you and the Mrs is OK. Machinery can be replaced, life cannot. Might be a PITA about all the new gear just fitted, but at least you can do it all again, isn't that half the fun!!! And totally agree about the 2.5T vehicle safety.

Glad you're both OK - that's what really counts. Hope you'll be able to get back to your dream vehicle without too much financial strain. Take Truckster's advice - unless you have listed and insured the extras, if it is a write off, the insurers claim the whole wreck, and you only get insured value. Always strip 'em down before assessor sees 'em. If he was drunk driving - your insurer should (if pushed hard) pursue him for your excess at least; i know you can never fully cover for all the work you've done on the vehicle to get what you want. Good luck and fight for your rights - insurance companies are only there to look after themselves.

Was the other bloke insured?
If it was his fault then ensure "HIS" insurance pays out for the replacement cost of the vehicle when it was totaled, thats to say including all you accessories.
It's his liability not yours.

Good to hear you are ok champ, and the rig did a sterling job looking after its owner, as others have said, if the acc's arent yet covered, get em off quick smart.
Also if he was driving under the influence, his ins. company will void his insurance policy and leave you hanging, best to instigate proceedings with your insurance straight away, and let them chase him through the civil courts for the money.
Hell - even if you have to pay the excess, you are alive, even if a little sore .
What to buy next ?? what is 'new' about the new cruiser i see advertised, might be good, and you could screw a good deal on one because they are hurting trying to sell the big rigs at the moment.
